Historic Havana (from Varadero)
This activity begins with hotel pick-up in an air-conditioned vehicle and tour guide services in the chosen language. During the trip, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the city of Matanzas, the Bacunayagua Bridge, the Havana Club rum factory and the Villa Panamericana neighbourhood. We’ll stop at Castillo de Los Tres Reyes del Morro viewpoint, with its spectacular views of the Malecón esplanade and the Havana Bay Tunnel, where you’ll get the chance to take photos. We’ll then visit the Historic Centre, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We’ll continue our walking tour through Plaza San Francisco de Asis, Plaza Vieja, Plaza de Armas, and Plaza de la Catedral. We’ll also walk along Calle Obispo, passing the Ambos Mundos Hotel and the San Gerónimo de la Habana University: Visit to the City Museum of La Havana. You’ll also have free time to explore the city. You’ll also enjoy a wonderful lunch with a drink included. During the tour, we’ll visit the outside of the Capitol and visit the Museum of the Revolution, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Central Park, and the Grand Theatre of Havana. We’ll also do a panoramic tour of Modern Havana: views of the residential areas of Centro Habana, Vedado and a visit to Plaza de la Revolución with time to take photos. You’ll also get to see the José Martí Memorial, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of the Interior and the National Library. The tour will conclude with the return to Varadero. It takes approximately 6 hours. This activity is not recommended for people with difficulty walking. It’s available every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
