La Palma Island – North

Departure from the Los Cristianos pier, on board the ferry that will take us to La Palma. Once in La Palma, departure from Santa Cruz de la Palma pier, crossing the capital in the direction of the Royal Sanctuary of Our Lady the Virgin of Las Nieves, patron saint of the island of La Palma and the longest-lived Marian image in the archipelago. We’ll then take the island’s back road and head towards the municipality of El Paso to La Cumbrecita viewpoint, where we’ll go for a walk and take in the impressive panoramic views of Caldera de Taburiente National Park. From the outskirts of the Park, we’ll head to Tajuya, where we’ll stop and observe the new Cumbre Vieja volcano in all its majesty. We’ll continue to the island’s western coast and have lunch in the beautiful village of Tazacorte. After lunch, we return to the pier. If time permits, we’ll go for a stroll through Santa Cruz de La Palma, which was declared a historic-artistic site in the 1970s. We’ll definitely visit the pedestrianised Calle Real, the most iconic buildings such as the Town Hall, El Salvador Church, and the quintessential balconies along the avenue.
