Santo Domingo Scooters
We’ll ride our scooters for an interesting tour through the old streets of the Colonial District. We’ll visit the First Cathedral of the New World, the Columbus Alcazar, the National Pantheon, the Kahkow Experience (a chocolate factory), the Museum of Rum, Calle Las Damas, and the modern city, among other historical monuments. Each tour will be guided by an experienced, certified, multilingual tour guide and the maximum number of people per group is 20. Our tour also includes stops to shop for souvenirs at the most colourful and best-stocked markets in the area, located on Calle el Conde and around Columbus Park. On the way back to the hotel district, we’ll get a panoramic view of San Pedro de Macorís. San Pedro de Macorís is famous for its sugar mills and for its great baseball players such as Sammy Sosa, Robinson Canó, Alfonso Soriano, among others. We’ll get a panoramic view of the cathedral of San Pedro Apóstol in San Pedro de Macorís, which is the oldest building containing cement in the Dominican Republic and dates back to 1910. This excursion takes approximately 12 hours and is available every Wednesday and Friday.
