Journey to the Bottom of the Sea
This excursion begins with the pick-up and transfer to Puerto de Mogán for a journey to the bottom of the sea in La Atlántida (‘Atlantis’) Underwater Park. It’s Gran Canaria’s first-ever artificial reef, which was developed as a project to restore the seabed in a protected area measuring 3,000 m². The submarine is a third-generation passenger submarine designed for the underwater leisure market. The trip takes approximately 40 minutes and we’ll descend to a depth of 20 metres, although it can actually reach a depth of up to 60 metres. During the ride, you’ll see shipwrecks and marine species such as: boga, rockfish, bream, cuttlefish, trumpet fish, sea urchins, and many others. The atmospheric conditions inside the submarine are completely regulated so you won’t feel any change in pressure as the submarine descends. The excursion is suitable for the general public and poses no risk whatsoever for pregnant women, the hearing impaired or people with a heart condition.
