Saona Island from Santo Domingo
You can’t miss this adventure on an island drenched in sunshine, the tropical breeze with warm, crystal-clear waters, aside from its white sand. This small, but beautiful island – mainly lined with coconut trees and mangroves, with extensive beaches with limpid waters – is the epitome of the tropical paradise sought by every visitor to the Dominican Republic. Our adventure begins in Bayahíbe, a small fishing village that has now become a sun and beach paradise. We’ll stop at the largest natural pool in the Dominican Republic. It’s a massive sandbar no deeper than one metre where starfish abound. We’ll get off the boat there to cool ourselves off. Some of the activities you can enjoy on Saona are: walking along the beach, swimming in its stunning waters, lying under the coconut trees, enjoying a buffet lunch and open bar (rum, rum & coke, beer, cola, water, coffee), and relaxing. This excursion takes approximately 12 hours and is available every day of the week.
